The Tbilisi State Academy of Arts (TSAA) building in Georgia is a cultural and historical treasure and therefore an important part of the country’s heritage. Since the early 1920s, it has fostered generations of talented artists, inspired by the building’s intrinsic architecture and its very status as the first official art school in the entire Caucasian region, overseen and nurtured by renowned artists. This collective of masters and student artists and the talented works that have emanated from within the walls of the building in turn also represent an integral part of Georgia’s heritage.

However, despite its major contribution to Georgia’s cultural heritage, the TSAA is now under serious threat of degradation, to the point of collapse. We, the administration staff, teachers and students, as well as our supporters, are working hard to find ways to protect this historical building from perishing altogether. We have devised an effective restoration plan and associated budget for necessary immediate reparation works, but the project requires funding beyond our current available financial resources. As Georgia is a newborn Democratic country, with limited funds to currently support all pressing rebuilds and projects, we now look to external funding and the generosity of others to assist us to continue with our restoration works.
We have a network of patrons and local sponsors willing to contribute to this worthwhile cause, but the sponsorship total so far falls short of our total requirement. Therefore, we are appealing to every public body, prominent corporation, private organization and caring individual alike to support us by contributing whatever amount of aid you can possibly afford to help us to save our cultural treasure and most popular Artist’s space from total collapse.
